Membership
Members
of the Study Group receive quarterly mailings with information
about relevant conferences, publications, and news, including
a Register of Membership. A Register of Research and Teaching
is produced as a separate supplement every three years. It provides
information about courses taught by Study Group members in the
Sociology of Religion. The Register of membership currently comprises
over 100 pages (with index) and includes details of members, their
publications and research interests.
The
Study Group hosts three regular activities each year: an Annual
Conference; a Study Day; and a conference specifically designed
for post-graduates and new/young scholars (subsidised by Study
Group funds). The Study Groups currently counts c. 140 members,
some of whom are overseas members. The Study Group is a friendly
and supportive network of professional scholars in the Sociology
of Religion and related fields who aim to encourage serious academic
study in their disciplines.
